do you think there is some way that if we all decided on a style of tail light that we liked that then we could send them a set of clear or stock tails that they could produce them? so kinda like a group buy almost?

just a thought
theoretically, yes... not quite sure how much they would charge to reproduce something. the only thing is, 'reproduce', so if we send them a set of 3rd gen taillights, they will send back the same thing, not being able to mount to ours. Don't quote me, but we MIGHT be able to get them to mimic another set, but with 2nd gen mounting requirements, would have to get him to inquire about that.

well no. not send them the actual 3rd gen lights. im just wondering if they could take a pair of second gen lights and make them exactly the same, except for the lense color. top half clear and bottom half red.

Those are pretty nice lookin, real clean...Like everyone else here I like the taillights. Not too big on the name tho, a little to alphanumeric and long for me.

they look similar to the rav4 tail lights if you ask me..

sorry i couldn't find a better pic for the Rav4

Blizzard- those lights are awsome. i would love a set of those without the reverse lights in them. too bad about the price! i guess i'll just keep on dreaming.

taillights get in on monday (supposedly), they got delayed when the chinese police brought the package back to his door demanding to see his 'export' license.. which he doesn't have, and made a quick call to his friend who exports for wal-mart to smooth things over. so.. can't wait.. only thing is, i'm out of town till friday night.. will take pics as soon as i can.

Agreed, 2nd gen runners ARE awesome.

The tail lights and some accessories are cool and so is the thought of a brand new 2nd Gen built in 2005.

They won't put the $$$ into it to create even a remotely reliable vehicle. I'm not trying to bust anyones bubble, but counterfeiting by the Chinese is p*ssing me off. They've openly done it to every manufacturer of everything with the support of the government, theirs and ours. (MFN status)

Toyota products are more expensive than comparable models from nearly every other manufacturer. If you look at their bottom line, it's relatively the same. No more profitable than the others, well minus GM. If it were even hintingly more profitable, Toyota would be the only automobile stock being bought.

As soon as the first Great Wall vehicle hits 400,000 miles with as little maint. as Silver Trucks , I will gladly sell my over priced Yoters.

sorry to report that im STILL waiting on them, apparently north america introduced alot more red tape to products being shipped from china while these were in transit. I ask a couple times a week where they are, and I either get 'im not sure' or 'i think they're in the states somewhere'...

who knows when i'll get them now.. but when/if I ever do, I will post pictures.
