I'll pay for your gas and time. If you can look at it and just give me a second opinion please let me know. He lives close to San Jose/Oakland area.
Anyone is more than welcome to check it out.
I'm very serious about flying out there to buy and drive it home.
Here are the pictures i have...

Please email or PM me. I know this is a long shot but i'm hoping for the 'one' person.

Thank you.

Yep.
His name is Steve. Very nice guy. Quotes from Steve: "I don't have any problem with you having someone come over and check out the truck. That way you have a second opinion and can make your decision accordingly."

"I am more than happy to have someone else come over and check it out to give you an unbiased opinion of how it drives and looks."

I can PM you his phone number or you can call me at 720-936-7179 or PM me.
He has Mondays and Tuesdays off so that would work best for him. I believe noonish would also be good any other day if need be.
thanks!

what would you want the person to look at... just the general feel of the truck? kick the tires, check the fluids etc?

Yup and take it for a quick test drive...owner said that would be fine. Only spend a few mintues. Nothing drastic. I would just like a basic opinion from a third party so i feel a little more comfortable flying out and then driving 1,200 miles back home. I promiss to not hold the person reliable for anything in anyway.

I'd be willing to do that, I don't live far away. But I am only 17, so that might factor in, dunno.

Looks like a nice truck, I wonder why he is sellin it.

Chris, my plans as of now are to fly out there in 3-4 weeks so i do have *some* time. I would love for you to check it out.
His work schedule is 3pm to Midnight but i'm pretty sure he can have anyone come by from 9am to 1:30pm-ish. I will pay for your gas plus a little extra just for your time. Hes a memeber here as well as TTORA. I've had daily email conversation with him for the last 4 days and once phone. Hes a very level headed guy, married w/kids, owns a newer Tacoma which hes known for (TTORA) about doing a complete body swap...Extra cab to a Double cab which is now his kid hauler/wheeler.
I'll send you a PM with more detail Monday evening.

marko3xl3, Hes selling cause it was his DD but wanted something much cheaper on gas which he now drives. He originally bought it when he found out his wife was pregnant, hence the reason why he did the Taco body swap. I wouldn't mind you looking at it but can ya drive a 5spd?

That would be great. I can shoot ya some $ via paypal for your time but I'm gonna see what ToferUOP can do first. Either way, if you just want to check it out then by all means do it!

mods, i know this thread is kinda borderline off topic but please let it stay here just so i get back into a Toyota again. Many thanks!

Of course I can drive a 5spd, but I am not the best candidate for this, I'd rather have someone else like Chris or Steve do it. Either way, if Chris goes I am gonna be there to meet him, say hi and whatnot.

Yep It's mine. I'm selling because I just don't drive it anymore. I just got my wife an 06 Honda Odyssey, and when the whole family goes out we now just go in the Van. We use to take the 4Runner. I have a 100-130 mile commute 5 days a week, and the little beater daily driver get's 35 MPG, the 4Runner gets 18ish. If I worked locally I'd keep the 4Runner hands down. But with the cost of gas now, I just can't afford to drive it that far every day. The other reason I'm selling it is my Tacoma project is nearing completion and can be used as a backup if my Tercel ever dies, and I need something else to drive to work for a week or so

http://ttora.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27326

Thanks for all the kind words about the truck and me, Steve I'll PM you about comming to check it out.
