Another Tire size question...

I was wondeign if anyone knew wher I could find a 31 x 12.50 or 32 x 12.50 tire for a 16" rim. The onlyones I could dig up were the Interco tires, but everyone seems to dislike them. I wanted an A/T tire, and the 265/75/16 tires I have now are the perfect height, but not very wide, at last check I beleive they were around 10.25" wide. I really want something wider, I think it would fill out the trcuk better, and be a little better in the mud, and offr-oad. I don't want to go up to a 285/75/16 tire, it runs a little tall for the 4.10 gearing, and I don't want to fit go any taller with the suspension lift, I like having the extra space in fenders for looks, and flex. If anyone knows of anything good, please let me know, I would also go for a 32 x11.50 or 31x11.50 failing all eelse. It must be for a 16" rim though. Thanks,
Jason

Also, I did want something that would be at least decent on the road, this is my daily driver. I really liked the Interco SSR, but this does not look like it will hold up terribly well on road. If BFG made an A/T in 31x 12.50-16, I would buy 5 right now.

wow, that is very very odd, bfgtire.com does not have that listed as a model that they make, but it would be pretty close, I was still looking to be a little wider(it is better still at about 1/2" wider) think I'm going to try calling tire rack tommorow, thanks for the heads up, as usual, you guys know way more than I do. Also, if anyone know any others, that would be great too, just trying to keep what little options I have open. Thanks

Its a bit of a PITA but most tires on Tire Rack have similar charts. You have to go into "shop by brand" then choose the model. Look around at other brands and see if they offer something closer.

I hate how everybody with 16 inch rims can only find the size they want in 15's and all the 15 inch rim guys can only find the size they want in 16s!

why do u want such wide tires anyhow?

I saw a truck w/ 275/75/16 Geolander muds and it looked pretty good. I was thinking of this tire and size when my tires go bald (which will take a long time at the rate I'm going). I just don't want to do a BL so this seems like a reasonable compromise for you and me.

Looks, better traction. The tires are so skinny now, even when I air down, and I didnt get an alignment for sooooo long, I need new fronts, so I thought I might as well get what I want. If I could have put 15s on this truck I would have allready, they IMO look much better, and have mad sizes I like. (mad = a lot in Jersey).

Allright, gotta bring this one back up again. I still have not found anything out there. I want t do a 2" body lift, but I fear my 265/75/16s will look tiny. One of the guys I went riding with has 31x11.50 - 16 Super Swampers. They look great on the truck.
I would like my truck to have the same stace, but from what I've heard, the Thornbirds stink. Any reccomendatons, or do you think my skinny 265/75s would look ok with 4.5" of lift total(I don't). Thanks!

The most normal tire I could find in this size was the Super Swamper SSR, but I wanted something that looked kind of normal, not too agressive looking. Thanks again!

Can't help w/ tires but 4" of lift w/ 265's will look silly. This is why Grimpy quickly switched out his 265's for 295's IIRC...

I currently have 265/75/16's with 2 inch BL, and about 3 inch suspension lift. Take alook at the bottom link for pictures..
I am going to upgrade to 285's pretty soon with Land Cruiser wheels.

is that a pic with the 3" suspension and 2" body lift, the pics don't look bad at all IMO, that seems very doable to me. Doesnt look bad at all. I have much wider rims to, so my tires really fill out the fender flares. I have 16x8s with 4" BS. Thanks, just wanted to confirm, if that wasnt one of the pics, if you could redirect me to one that is. By the way, that's a hot 250 in the background
