go to local junkyards and ask where you can find yota parts. that's what i did. finally came across a nice guy willing to help me out and referred me to another yard. called em up and they had almost all the parts i was looking for. just a tip.

Well steve, you can just imagine it. Old broken down toyotas as far as the eye can see. Like a candy land of toyotas trucks and 4runners. But there's a twist. You slowly realize that you feel sad for all the dead trucks. You start wanting to bring them all back to life. But to make omelets, you have to break some eggs. These are the broken eggs on many toyota omelets.

Not sure if you guys are familiar with the Extreme 4x4 television show on Spike, or it may be called something else now, but anyway if you do, there was an episode where Ian went to a Toyota salvage yard and bought a 1st gen Tacoma and the build consisted of a 22re (Turbo). I've been trying locate that salvage yard for quite some time now with no luck at all. Does anyone recognize what I'm talking about? I'm in East Tennessee BTW.

They have about 15,000 cars on the lot. The girls you get on the phone can act like kind of a you know what but if you are really trying to restore something, ask for David. He has a soft spot for guys like us that like to make old things new and he will go out and find what you need. I've been working on old yotas for years and never once have they not had what I wanted. Just hold your tongue when you talk to the girls and let them give your message to David. They're attitude is probably why they have so many good parts left to sell.
