i would have sliders made that are all one chamber and put a NPT fitting or two in them. You will be able to hold more than you think with that setup. 4crawler has this option. As long as the tubes are drilled prior to welding you have a good setup. I would probally convert mine, but they werent drilled.
Haveing storage is great, but unless you use it all the time go 3-5 gals, or sliders...and a good pump, they best and biggest you can afford/fit.

DO NOT operate a CO2 tank on its side.

Look up the info at www.powertank.com
Also look in the mounting link I provided earlier, and you will see Chris Geiger has a tank on its side, but PT notes that Chris does not operate it on its side.
Nitro is not as good as CO2 when it comes to filling tires.
Racers at the track use Nitro, CO2 has been proven better for off roaders.
