20R in 1992 pickup

20R in 1992 pickup
Just bought a 1992 pickup that previously had a 22RE motor in it. They put a 20R motor in it. The truck runs for a minute then cuts out. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the fuel pump. There is a blocker plate on the head where the mechanical fuel pump is supposed to go. I've got a 22R and I'm wondering if I can take the fuel pump off of it and put it on the 20R.
