I had a overcharging incident when first got my truck, and ever since I had a dim right headlight, after changing it I just didnt care. Well the other day it lit back up on its own out of nowhere. I was fine with that, but yesterday it went dim again. Also my taillights dont work now. Now I have a new problem. I can turn the lights on, and nothing. If I hit the high beams, they come on, then I can kick it back down to low beams, and they work. This only happens sometimes. Also sometimes the lights will just shut off out of nowhere, and sometimes they just come on out of nowhere. Sometimes it just flat out wont work, and sometimes it doesnt show any problems, its very moody, sounds like my gf.... Me and my buddys think headlight switch, but I thought Id post it on here, as I have been wrong before. Please electrical guys, help me out!

 

sounds like a problem with your light switch in the column... its common to all your symptoms. I'd check the connections in the column and the contacts on the switch.
