Windshield wipers for 4runner?

Ok so this is a stupid question. But I bought some new michelin frameless wipers and they totally dont fit my 92 4runner at all. I even snapped one trying to get it to fit. Being as they were discount and not returnable im just curious, why the hell dont they fit toyota trucks??? I mean its not like there arent millions upon millions of them around. Just wondering if anyone else has had trouble getting new windshield wipers that fit. Do I need a universal converter piece or something. This is ridiculous. Last time I checked windshield wipers shouldnt be confusing to put on but these are. And of course the intructions are useless. Checked my roomates 92 pickup and wiper mounts are identicle. Appreciate any help.

I got Rain-x ones on my 4runner and Pathfinder. Not a problem at all. The Rear one for the 4runner ain't even listed last time I checked in any style blade (I just cut down a refil blade to fit it, works fine). Did you get the right ones with the right clips or were they maby packaged wrong? Not trying to sound dumb.

The dealership is your friend. They gave me direct fit Rain-X quality blades for the same price.

Why do people use wipers for there rear window? Cant look PAST the rain or use your side mirrors?

Put some rain x on your windshield so you dont have to use your wipers as much...

QUOTE]

Water builds up on the rear when in stop and go traffic and slush and snow accumulates there even at hwy speeds since there is a vacuum at the rear and having a rear wiper is a nice thing to have.

The blade for the rear is a dealer only item and I got one a few months ago for about $11 and a new one was definetly needed.
