Will the spider gears from an 8" 3rd member fit a 7 1/2" 3rd member

I know I know I know. You think what the hell is he thinking.

I want to run 6 lug axels in my 5 lug 7 1/2" rear end. I already know that my 6 lug axles are a 1/2" shorter than my 5 lug axels.

But back to my question. Will the spider gears fit from one to the other. I don't have both sets out to compare. If someone did they would be able to tell really quick.

Thanks in advance.

I'm gonna go with..."No"....

Smaller diff in every way, bearings, ring, pinion, spiders, sides....

Why not just swap in the full assembly from a 4wd?

This is in a 2wd truck with a spring under axle. I know there are some 8" spring under axels out there but have yet to find one.
