Where to begin...hmmmm

So I finally got my hands on a "new to me" 2000 runner with 127k on it. One owner, runs like a dream, slight wobble at high speeds and after hitting good bumps. Obviously needs a tire balancing and I plan to put a lift on it....should fix the suspension issue. My question is this, since I only want to lift it no more than 2" what is a good system to go with? Also, will I need to replace anything else to make it right?

Old Man Emu 2" Lift Kit............ Just what I've heard more often than anything, ya know? Far as the 'wabble'... Simply slapping a lift or balancing tires might not rid you of this vermin! lol. I'm not familiar with these Rigs too well,....YET, lol.. But at least with earlier Gen trucks, I know that Ball Joints can often cause wobble if they're shot. Few other things as well. Couldn't hurt to start with the tires... but really, don't you wanna make SURE as you'll be in there, anyway?

I'm sure a bunch of 3rd Genners will chime in on this... I've heard this quite a few times, regarding the "shimmy".

Best wishes, and welcome to Yotatech, TW!

That's pretty low miles! That thing should go forever. A wobble is concerning, so get the alignment checked, and ask them to check the ball joints and tie rods (it's actually pretty simple to do - grab either side of the front tire and try to wobble it, then grab the top of the tire and push and pull and see if it wobbles that way). Any sloppy motion should get fixed ASAP. If you have any doubts get it checked by someone with experience.

As far as 2" of lift, there are some really good options, but it depends on how you want to use it, how much you are willing to spend, how it will look, and how you want it to ride once it's lifted.
you may have seen this one:

The problem is it starts really well, and gets pretty confusing.

Here's what I do - I go through different rigs here and see what they have, and see if it sounds right for me:

I have an OME system with 881 coils in the front and 906 coils in the rear. It works for me, but going with a tundra coil on Bilsteins, or expensive coilovers in the front would have also worked.
Try
toyteclifts.com
sonoransteel.com

There are others too - someone else can add to the list.

make sense?

Can't help you too much with the lift suggestion, but I would also suggest tie rods and ball joints for the wobble, and it's definitely something you want to fix. I drove an element (not mine) for about 15 miles that had completely shot ball joints and tie rods, and it was not a pleasant ride whatsoever. It felt like the body and the wheels were going different places. If that's the problem with your runner, it's only going to get worse.
