are wheel spacers ok to offroad with?

ok so right now i have a 1988 toyoa 4runner, with 34" 10.50 tsl super swampers, now is it ok to, lets say buy 4 2'' wheel spacers and then just run around with them on forever? or does that lower the structural integrity of the vehicle all around? cuz if its safe to run them 100% of the time, then im just going to get some, i like the look of the truck when the tires and wheels stick out more.

They are safe enough just be sure to check the torque on them evey now and then.

Just about anyone with a SAS has them on the front of the yota axles to accomidate the width difference
