What's in an owner's manual package?
Just got an '04 4Runner Limited which was missing it's owners manual package. I don't need any of the warrantee stuff usually part of the package, but I do need info on the stereo and security/alarm/remote. My 3rd gen had a separate manual for the alarm, but I'm thinking it wasn't standard on all 3rd gens. Other than nav, does the basic manual cover everything? Thanks!

owner's manuals are obsolete when you have yotatech
search, ask the right questions, keep it clean, and you'll be fine
oh yeah, wrong forum. moved to off topic. if its not tech-related, post questions like this in off topic

"owner's manuals are obsolete when you have yotatech"
I have to respectfully disagree with this statement. I think the last thing Yotatech needs is a thousand naive questions that can be answered by reading a manual.
The two important manuals are the owner's manual and the service manual. Both should be available from Toyota for a nominal fee. I got no separate manual for the security system with my '03 LTD.

karl,
i was being partly facetious in my reply
but on a serious note, the type of questions asked here usually goes beyond htings that can be figured out by common sense (i.e. how to turn on the windshield wipers or what does the light that looks like the engine mean?)
oh and another thing, wwilme: if you are into doing your own maintenance, purchase the FSM manuals for your vehicle. i happened to buy mine from khaug a few years ago.
