what yota to get the comparison of many greats
I inherited a 2006 toyota tundra limited with 70k miles on it. Its blue 2wd and just feels weak and like its not a very tough truck. suspension is soft and it is way too nice for me.
I have a 68 baja bug so I enjoy simple cars with nothing to them.
IM planning on selling the tundra and buying a different toyota. Im pretty set on getting 4wd manual with a v6 as it needs to be able to tow the baja bug. It weighs 2k plus lets say 1k for a trailer so im looking at a t100 95 and up because the 3.4 is good. a 3rd gen 4 runner 97-99 i hate fly by wire so trying to keep cable controlled throttle. Or a first gen Tacoma.
They all have similar tow capacities so thats not major the 4 runner would possible need bags but i wont be towing but a few times a year max. Price-wise 4 runner is cheapest then t100 then tacoma but t100 in manual 4wd are hard to find.
I plan on putting a bed cap on the trucks so the bed isnt a super big deal.
what are some downfalls of these and what is better for each.
Mpg Parts availability off-road capabilities and durability.
