I've searched for awhile, and I haven't really found an answer: What is the best year (or year range) to start with for a build, or what is good to look for in a truck. I have a 2003 tacoma and love it, but i've decided it'd be best to not take it wheeling. I'm looking to build something for the river bar, beach, logging roads, hunting truck... not so much a rock crawler. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

 

1985 last year of solid front axle and first year if fuel injection and if you get a 4runner it has a back seat.
