what are the lights in the picture below, to the outside of the headlights called? What kind of lights go in there? should they light up white or amber? the lenses are clear.

 

I see no lights.
Now the picture is showing.

The bulbs are amber I believe, and they are called marker lamps.

This was for my '91 I use to have, but I bet the bulbs are the same.

 

i believe they take a #89 clear bulb

okay- so the ones to the side of the light are parking lamps, the ones on the bumper are turn indicator, and the ones on the fender are the side marker? Those are the three lights I have to choose from @ napa. The lights to the side of the headlight almost look like a reverse light bulb would fit. Guess I will take a look tomorrow.

 

it actually would, the bases are the same, but the #89 bulb has a much smaller glass globe on it

 

So are the lights amber or white? if the latter, i have a couple spare backup light bulbs, would those work properly?
