weber 32/36 probems, again!

ok, 22r, no smog, weber 32/36 electric choke. timing is set perfect, had a pro do it. however, the choke on the weber is staying on once the motor is up to temp, and when you disconnect the 12volts to the choke it kills the motor. other than that it runs like a top.
weber is sending replacement parts for the choke, but has anyone else seen this?
im thinking there maybe be something wrong internally, beacuse if the motor is warm, it shouldnt need any choke at all?
