w56 question

So Ive got a 91 w56-c tranny in my 85 4runner that just blew up. I found a 85 rebuilt w56-a tranny for sale. Id like to keep the larger clutch and flywheel from the C tranny though. So can I bolt the bellhousing from the C tranny to the A and use the Clutch from the C? I hope that makes sense.
Thanks, Scott

Dont see why not. They use the same bolt pattern and everything. I would just give it a shot. Chances are that it will work fine.

Thanks what I was thinking. I mean everything else should be the same right? I wonder if the spline count on the input shafts are the same?
