Apart from gear ratios, are all W-series transmissions interchangeable and as strong as each other? If the W58 can take the 220ft-lb of a 2JZ, does that mean the W56 behind a 22RE can? I'm preparing for an engine swap that is known to break the weaker G52 and possibly L52 boxes, and an R151F is pricey and hard to find.

About the input shafts, I've heard that the ones on car transmissions are longer than the truck ones; how hard is this to correct?

About the output shafts, would I be able to put a transfer case on a W58?
