New to this forum and glad it is here. What I have is a 1990 toyota 4wd with only 113000 miles. The manual transmission makes a roaring rotating noise when starting out in 1st gear, but quiet through 2nd thru 5th. The truck drives great and shifts great. Just that noise kinda bugs me. Any ideas ? Any body else have this problem and how did you fix it?

 

have you checked the fluid level in the trans ?
