hence the reason why it was moved to the newbie section.......duh!
but seriously what kind of mud are you talking about going through. Just a field??? If so then sure a tacoma would be fine. Superchager and some 32 MTs and you will be fine.
But if you are talking about pits, a tacoma isnt the best choice. An older tundra would be alot better. You can mod the hell out of the 4.7. Put a solid under the front.
If you think we are being dicks, think agian. You would have been really burned over on pirate and with no info. Atleast here you were given good advice. It was just advice you probably didnt want to hear.

I used to play in the mud with my Tacoma. I had a 3" lift and 33" tires. I don't have the truck anymore, but towards the end, I started to shy away from the mud. It wasn't that the truck couldn't handle it, but I got tired of cleaning all that mud off......you never get it(the mud) all off and that stuff gets into places you would never expect. The truck did pretty good and would have done better with some mud terrains.

Its all good dude I know I was
You know its like I told you in the first post about how its a great site and theres great people and info here. Weve all been there. Resoning behind my lack of wanting to post insight on mudding is from personal experience in it. I used to drive though them like a mad man lol. didnt really break to much (have been stuck up to my hood though which was a nightmare story for another time.) I did loose my fan pulley braket cause they have a bearing that dirt and grime will destoy fast (mud and even just the trails) Youll probaly want to switch over to an electric fan. Muds gonna clog the radiator like crazy too so the extra cooling would be nice. Changing fluids is gonna have to happen just about every time you leave the pit. a snorkle would be a good idea too. some swamper bogger tires since you love the mud just a few things for ya. I only really see those huge rediculous fords chevys and dodges in the mud pits mostly. Stuck too lol all the time! Jus not my thing but like you said, we all can like what we like!

Looks like everybody is getting along now - that's what we like to see.
I don't think anybody was mad that you were posting about mudding - some people just don't like it.
When you post a thread asking for advice about a specific type of wheeling, you're bound to get positive and negative posts.
Back in the day I was into mudding - that's all I did with my first Runner.
Then I had to start replacing seals, fluids, etc - I got through that phase pretty quick.

Ever wheeled in Moab when it is alert Noah raining? Well that Mud gets all up into your junk and when it dries it turns to cement. Drivelines, bearings, ujoints... all of it starts to solidify...
But That's just Moab mud. I've never seen any other kind. It must be rough to be me..
