timing chain and BHG

Recently my Timing chain wore through into my water pump and Blew my head. Im about to buy the parts. Just keep second guessing myself. How much damage did i cause that i cant see? rods, pistons, etc. im sure when i clean my oil pan its going to have some scraps in their, that cant be good for anything. just wana know if i have a decent chance of saving my engine it ran strong till it blew with 150k.

I would say yes you do have avery good chance....depending on several things.......did you "blow" your headgasket or did you mix oil and coolant via a breach in the timing cover like i did.....you say you did, so i would worry less about the head gasket......sounds like you are following my scenario.

if you did blow your headgasket, you need to check your head and likely your block for flatness and damage (more likely damage on the head).

engnbldr.com for the good stuff....YOTATECH for the help.

post your location ......the likelihood of us creepers and stalkers showing up at your door is pretty high.........hehehehehehe
