Timing Belt/ Water Pump Price Check
Hey guys,
Have had my 02 awd t4r for about 12k miles now. I am at 99k and think I should do the timing belt/water pump.
I got quoted $890 for timing belt/water pump w/ labor etc. Seems a little steep but want to know if that's even in the right ball park? I am in DC.
Thanks a lot.

If he is using OEM parts than that is a good price, maybe even on the low side.
If he is using autopart store chineese parts, then it's a little high.
It's all in the quality of parts used, parts for that job (T-belt, water pump, 2 tensioners) should be around 300 for OEM parts. I would also replace the drive belts and themostat at the same time. Put good parts in and don't worry about it again for 100,000 miles
