Timing Belt replacement with Top Dead Center Stop Tool?
#1
I'm doing the timing belt replacement on my 3.4L and wondering if instead of the crankshaft pulley holder which runs from $60-$220 if I could instead use a top dead center stop tool, the kind you just screw in place of a spark plug. I'm not too keen on how this tool works or engine repairs in general so if you have any knowledge please share.
Thanks

i wouldnt use it, instead if you wanna go that route do this. remove plug and feed in some soft nylon rope into the cylinder until its full then turn over by hand to smash it together in there then as the piston moves up it wont turn, and its free if ya got some rope laying around, or do the starter trick
