Thinking about a Locker need Information

Thinking about a Locker need Information
So I just bought a 91 4x4 P/U and I was wondering if it would be wise to put a locker on one of the diffs, the things is the truck will also be my daily driver and I live in Canada so there will be snow and ice! Posts advices, ty.
