Taco camper shell issues

I picked up a camper shell for my '03 Taco, and have a few issues you guys may be able to help out with. There is a spray-on bedliner that does not allow for a form fit of the shell, therefore there are some moisture leaks. I currently have the shell attached with some 3" C clamps and some weatherstripping between the surfaces. Would a few more clamps help this, or do I have to bolt it down? (It does currently shift after rough road use).
Also, the shell has rear lights I would like to attach, but of course the bed is lined, so I am not sure where to run the wires.
Any help is appreciated - Thanks!

That is what I used, but the spray-on liner is not very even.

Thats what I did when I had my longbed. My bed was a lil tweaked, and my snugtop didn't sit right either, so instead of using c-clamps at all four corners, I drilled thru the inside lip of the snugtop, thru the top of the bed lip 'bout every 6-8", and bolted it down. No moisture leaks at all, even after a hard day's of playing.

You might have to double up on the gasket, I did that just to make sure that there was a seal. The weatherproof/gasket stuff I bought was like a putty, (think of silly putty) that I bought at a RV place. Less than $10 bucks IIRC

Put 6 clamps (3 on each side), double the gasket material and hope for the best.

As for routing the wires, just drill a small hole through the bottom of the bed. No big deal.

You could run a fat bead of exterior silicone along the bed rails and tape the gasket to the underside of the shell. That should seal it and retain the mar protection of the shell/gasket/bed as well.
