All man, the title of this thread says it all. You guys are gonna me hate for this post, I know it!

Yeah, I'm new, or green, however you want to put it.

I have an 86 4x4 EFI with 287k going on second motor. I'd like to put a 3.4L tacoma engine in it, or at least start planning this project. I didn't see anything related after searching the forums regarding this matter (not denying I missed something either).

So if any of you could kindly point me in the right direction as to where I may find some info, I'd really appreciate it.

Mike and his team at ORS are putting a 3.4 into an '85 - you should find a lot of usefull information, there.

 

check out offroadsolutions.com they make kits to make the swap relatively painless

 

Pirate 4x4 has a good write up on the 3.4 swap. They aren't as mannered over there though.
