Question stupid question :)

hey guys,
I have a quick question. I just replaced the head gasket, timeing chain and the water pump myself on my 92 4x4 yota with a 22re in it about 800 miles ago. The truck only has 110k on it. But the last two days the truck seems to be burning something under the hood. Im kinda paraniod about fluid in the oil now after the head gasket but i keep checking the fluid but everything seems fine. Is there a chance that gas could be mixing with the oil somehow? Ive heard of people doing whats called a lighter test on the oil stick to check for fluids but im not sure of what to look for. The truck runs great but the last two days after driving to school i keep smelling something burning under the hood... Sorry for the stupid questions but im just a noob

Thanks,
Jason

Can you see any smoke when the smell occurs? Is your truck leaking oil from anywhere? It might just be that your valve cover gasket is leaking oil onto the exhaust manifold.
