stuck hood 94 pickup

stuck hood 94 pickup

hood cable sliped or broke when i went to open it. the latch is locked onto the hood and i canot open it now. eney ideas? Help please

you may be able to trip the switch from under the truck with a stick or something. Perhaps a locksmith would know a good trick

this happened on my friends POS chevy, there might be to much play in the cable and you might be able to take the wire from the latch in the cab and take it apart and yank on the wire. if that dosent work then its broken. or you can take off the skidplate and go between the radiator and the front bumper and try and pop it. it helps though if you know how the latch works and what it looks like from memory.

i tried pulling it from the cab no luck. the ball sliped out of the latch itself under the hood. yea ill give takin the skid off a shot.see if i can get at it from under neath. its been givin me probs since i had the truck. i need to use a screw driver to close it all the way. ill keep you all posted thanks for the ideas!!

if you dont like your grill i think you could rip or somehow take it off, you should be able to gain access to your hood latch.

yea i tried to get it by takin the skid off but i guess i dident try hard enuff. i will try harder as i dont really wanto destroy enething. i was thinking about putting an older 3gen yota grill on there that says TOYOTA. eney more ideas im trying to avoid breaking stuff but... i was thinking of putting a sawzall in there and cut the thing in half and get a new latch cable and posibly the clip on the hood. are they bolt on i think they are?
