Steering Rack ???

I am in the process of replacing my steering rack bearings on my 98 runner 4x4. I have sucessfully taken all of the mounting bolt of to include the center one from the top. The pass. side of the rack is free minus the lines running to the rack but i can get the rack to slide off of the stud on the drivers side. Does the stud pound out? Or am i missing something? I am confused any help would be awesome. I am at a dead stand still at this point and it is really becoming a PITA.

Thanks in advance

Drivers side isn't a stud, its a bolt that passes through a hole in the frame. You can push that bolt out.
