my concern is that I run narrow tight trails so I don't want it sticking out much if at all, and I don't want it cutting into visibility. Another thing I've seen a lot of people do is cut a hole in the firewall and run a tube from the air box to the firewall behind the glovebox. Makes it a little louder in the cab but you're not going to get water in that thing unless you sink the truck and it'll keep dirt from flying into the intake.

I don't know if I would run it through the truck, I would think it wouldn't get much airflow that way.

a guy i used to go to for advice on 4wheeling and trucks runs his worked 350 in an 82 FSC runs it that way without a problem, doubt our engines need more air than his lol

I would still feel a bit more comfortable if it were on the outside above the cab.
