WOOTX2! lol. Congratz, and now you've joined the club of MANY, including myself, who had to find this out after grimacing, grunting and then yelling at my cone washer set up for hours, .......before finding this and then applying the "screw on nut to plush with stud head,...... BING, DONE!" method! hahaa.

Have fun with the rest, keep us posted,

Mark

When I do mine I typically use a hammer and flat head screwdriver on the side and they pop right off. But I've only have had manual hubs

Me too, ....and yet, when I got this 87 w/ADD, ...I began to think that the ADD guy at Toyota is an Angry, Bitter arm wrestling champion with a BFH! hahahaa. The ADD ones DID come off, without TOO much effort... but not as easily as my 86's Manual hub-cones did. When I did those, I hadn't even seen this "bang on it" method, and I used a punch, ....they popped right out, lol. Might just be coincidence/happenstance, ....not sure, and too long ago to remember FOR SURE, lol.

PS> Still LOVING your rig, Vance! One of the most incredible "b4&after" stuff I've ever seen! lol.

BAM, you have a Kragen near you? I'm pretty sure I rented a 'set' from them, and there was one in there(I think it's 54MM) that fit just right. It's a type w/out a thick edge, so it can get in there on the nut and clear the hub's inner wall. Maybe AutoZone or Pep Boys?

$38 later... You have GOT to be kidding me... I've read the threads but cannot get the rotor separated from the hub. I mean, really??

Ive found that a little dab of grease or antisieve on the conewashers prevents them from rusting or w/e the do to stay in place.

did you take the 6 capture bolts off the back of the rotor?

Download yourself the FSM, it might help if you are unfamiliar with the procedures.
