Regearing??

I have a 95 Tacoma 2.7l that I just put 33x12.5x15 mts on. It's drives fine but is really lacking in power and has trouble climbing hills now. Also the spedometer is about 5 mph off. If I regear will this fix these problems? If so what size gears would be recommended? This is my daily driver, pavement princess and sees some highway use. Thnx for the help Joel.

Speedo can not be re calibrated easily with your non electric speedo cable set up.

4.88's hands down if you have an auto transmission.
You can get away with 4.56's if you have a 5 speed, but 4.88's would still be the better choice.

Thnx for the info. It is a 5 spd. The speedo isn't a big deal if it's that much work to fix. Hope this isn't a dum question, but I just need to regear the rear diff only??

if it is 4WD you need to re gear both diffs...major chaos will happen if you have mismatched gears
