im posting this in the noob section because its going to be a noob type question. ok, the rear seal in the back of the trans where the driveshaft goes into the trany is called what? i have always known this as the tail shaft seal. but when i go into napa or kregans all i get is "sorry our computer doesnt show that part name". i try to describe what it is and where it goes but all i get is
from the other side of the counter. the only other thing i could find was a drive shaft seal and i ordered one from rockauto.com. when it got here i got under my truck, pulled the drive shaft and noticed it was WAY too small. i cant find this seal anywhere. if anyone could help me out with the "proper name" or part number or something i would greatly appreciate it. thanks.
