Really new

Im really new to this 4runner game, and this forum stuff...my friend suggested to find one and I did...I got a 1994 4runner as a graduation present...its all stock and had an engine swap and its down to 84,000 miles. I need suggestions on what I should do first?

It all depends on what you want to do with the truck.

Welcome to YT! If you are looking for off road advice, you came to the right place. What drive train setup do you have? Personally, I would advise armor (bumpers, sliders and skid plates), tires and a rear selectable locker to start.

Its all about how much money you want to spend, do you want to set it up for offroading ?,if so then you need to look at finding a lift kit and then rims and tires and the list goes on, it just depends what you want to use your truck for. If you look at my signature below you can see what all has been done to my 4Runner just to give you an idea, so for a have about ten thousand dollars into it and im still not done.

Read the owners manual. Then check all the maintenance items belts, plugs, filters, spare tire, and fluids.

Do maintenance. Do everything the last owner didnt. Grease every fitting, check every bolt etc. Do the crappy stuff and get it out of the way. Make sure its gonna run good, who cares how good yer stuff looks when its on a flatbed

Then throw some nice low gears in there!!
