im new here and just got a 2004 ext cab 2.7 4x4 with 150xxx miles my friend gave me a rough country lift and i took it to the local shop and they put it on for me when i picked it up the manager told me that my rack and pinion was shot(he said that it had some metal shavings in the grease) and now when i hit a bump it clicks and its driving me crazy, also noticed that i have a split balljoint all this after they put on the lift well if anyone knows were some cheap parts are let me know dont worry im never going back their again

 

is this typical in a mild lift for the rack and pinointo go out and should i just replace both sides? just need a little help thanks
