Question about transfer case shift knobs

Shift knobs on both forward shift and top shift on the transfer case do they have the same shift patterns?

I would like to take the knobs out of a later truck is the only reason I ask

Do you mean knobs... or entire shift levers?

My bet is the knobs themselves are all the same thread.

I do know the baseplates have different patterns depending on year, transfer case, etc. Some levers could be removed from different baseplates and swapped, but I would not have a definite answer as to what years or models are compatible.
