use rtv.

the front diff has to be lowered, along with taking off some steering.

Alright, all you gotta do is unbolt the thing that the steering stab bolts to..(cant thinkof the part right now) but if your looking towards your truck, it sits on the left side.. its 3 bolts. Then, that'll hang, then there are 3 bolts that hold the front diff to the truck.. get a jack under the pumpkin and get a prybar in to get it out of front bolt bushing area.
tada, lower it really slow. Its pretty easy, a novice like me did it.

the idler arm? i didn't have to take that off.

1. unbolt the front diff mount.
2. unbolt the cross member(4bolts) and remove.
3. unbolt drivers side axel(it makes it easier)
4. unbolt steering relay rod and swing it out of the way.
5. put a jack underneath the front diff.
6. unbolt the top 2 diff mounts then lower the diff.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something but that should get you started.
