Post Older front clip fit newer body style?

Hey there,

Im trying to put my rolled 92 xtra cab back together and I needed a new front clip (core support) whatever its called the front end where the heads lights are mounted. anyways I cut the front off of my old 86 4 runner and I have a 89 xtracab that it needs to go on. I have it taked sort of on there but it could use a little tinkering with. Or am I just totally wasting my time and should just go find the right one?

Thanks id appreciate it!

Also anyone know much about welding rod? I found a pack of 7018 AC does the ac mean its only for ac current welders or sumthing?

I would find the right one. The core supports are completely different between the years.
