Oil overfill question

So I pulled a couple of bone-headed, careless moves in quick succession... I changed my oil & filter the other day and, due to its clear nature on the dipstick, added an extra quart to the gallon already in the tank... Drove about three miles before realizing my mistake & took it home, whereupon I learned that I had ALSO forgotten to screw back on my oil filler cap, which would have explained why it had shut down twice while idling...

I've since drained a little over a quart from the tank, after which I noticed a few air bubbles on my dipstick... Could it be possible that some of the oil has aerated after driving such a short distance? Could leaving the cap off lead to any possible contamination? It only drove a few miles, but I'm wanting to be sure... I suppose I could always completely re-change the oil & filter if necessary, even though I just changed everything a few days ago. Could I have done any other damage in such a short amount of time? Seems to drive fine, but I have to get out on the road in a few days so figured I'd throw it out to the forum...

My Toyota is a 1991 V6 pick-up that has been otherwise mechanically very sound for many years (& I intend to keep her that way!). Many thanks in advance to anyone who might take the time to respond!!

I think that you will be fine. a single quart overfill is not excessive.
