Number 1 cylinder is DEAD!!!.
Ok. I have done some maintenance to my 22re and now my #1 cylinder is dead. I have fire coming from the distributor to the plug but it seems no fire in the cylinder. When I unplug the #1 spark plug wire, it does not change the way the engine runs. Please help I have no Idea what to do next.

Did you replace spark plugs when you did maintenance? You could have a bad sparkplug--it happens even with new plugs. Try a different plug in that cylinder.

Does the exhaust manifold get hot by #1? Compression check? Did you pull any other plugs while running to verify? How does the plug look? Compared to the others. How do you know it is getting fire "to the plug" but not in the cylinder?

ok. I did change the plug with the one in cylinder 2. after a restart it didnt change. I also unplugged the #2 #3 and #4 wires one at a time to see the difference. Every one made a difference in how the engine ran. But when I take #1 off, no change. I dont think it would be compression because I just had the engine rebuilt with new rings and pistons. Also by looking at all the plugs i can tell they are all burning hot before i did the maintenance. So whats goin on here?

man you all know whats funny. I had to replace the o-rings on my injectors and had the whole plennem and manifold torn down. So I think that I might have actually plugged in the wrong clip for the injector.....hmmm.
