No Brakes!!
#1
I just recently bought my first 4runner ( my second yota )
it's a 90 v6 4x4 8" Lift w/35's and I've got no brakes
So the previous owner installed a new MC, I mean it looks brand new and I was told it was new so I'm going with it...
Ok first got truck few days back pedal goes all the way to the floor before I stop.... So I first check fluid level ( all ok ) So I preceed to bleed brakes cuz I'm thinking ok it wasn't done right or MC wasn't bench bled..
I start at R/R I get nothing , L/R nothing I go around and I get pretty much nothing even did the LSVP
So I gravity bleed brake system.. I get fluid drips at front wheels and LSVP .. Rear wheels I get nothing. So i go to get in truck to go to parts store and I have no brakes what so ever now?
So i have a buddy come over we try the pedal down, bleeder open deal and then we try the pump pump pump hold deal.. get nothing in the rear so i tried the front.. I got fluid out but alot alot of air too.. eventually I get somewhat brakes back and I find out it's just the front's.. but same thing have to push pedal all the way to the floor.
Now my LSVP does have the extension mount on it, but from what I was looking at online that doesn't do much so I did cut the rod and move it up further.
So Next I took master off and bench bled, pretty sure I got all the air out of it.
I went and bought me a vacuum pump and started at R/R wheel .. well after atleast 2hrs of pumping I got some fluid out but alot of air. I check master it hasn't gone down a bit.. tired of pumping I go check brakes.. again I have nothing now. so i go from having a little then when I bleed I get nothing... so i try to bleed the R/F with vacuum pump I get a little fluid but alot of air.
So then I try filling a water bottle with fluid and running a line to R/R bleeder.. had my g/f get in and pump brakes... I get nothing, not even air bubbles
So now in my mind I'm thinking I need a new MC?? Any suggestions .. I'm beyond frustrated at this point the truck is sitting in the front yard!
oh and I almost forgot the " Anti Lock" Light is also on...

your post was really convoluted so do this:
1) Bleed the MC, if its brand new there will be air in it even if you fill the reservoir.
2) Bleed the LSPV
3) Bleed rears
4) bleed fronts
If you're still having problems after doing it in that order, then its more complicated.

I've done all of this, and tried several bleeding methods I still have no fluid coming?
