NEWBIE front shock bolt stuck in bracket
I'm in the process of replacing my shocks all around. The backs were a breeze but now I'm stuck on the fronts. On both fronts the bolts seem to be fused with the rubber bushings. I've tried pounding them out but the shock bracket starts to bend.
Does anyone have any idea how to deal with this?

Two or three things you can do. One impact wrench. Two torch. Three use a cole chisel to cut the shock eyelet and then cut the rubber bushing out and then chisel the sleave off the bolt. I have been there my friend!

I agree Brian. That worked on one of them. The other needed the cole chisel. I tried vise grips on the sleave and spinning the bolt, but couldn't get it to work. The shock brackets held up with all the beating.
