newb tire question

255 / 70 / R16 Will these fit on my 96 4runner, no lift, have 265-70-16 on there right now i believe, i think thats the stock size? I searched on the forum but didnt have much luck. Also, what does it mean when there is an R next to the rim size or other numbers?

Thank you very much
