wats goin on everyone? I''m jojo and i'm new to yotatech...I've been reading a bunch of posts on this board, and have already found some great advice and seen some badass rides out there. Everyone seems pretty chill here. I'm liking it.

Anyways, I just recently bought a black 99 4runner, and want to make a few mods but have no idea where to start. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

As far as a lift goes, I want to get a 2.5 or 3". What type and brand of lift should I go with and around how much should I expect to be spending on one?

For tires, I like the beefier tire look, but probably wouldn't go with MT, since this runner will be my daily driving car. What's something close to a mud terrain but works just as well onroad as offroad? And what size tire would you go with...I was thinking 32's or 33's?

I'm looking to also completely black out my 4runner. Make the rims black, tint the front windows the same as the back, and black out the headlights/taillights and emblems.

Any advice on how I would go about doing any of this would be awesome!

sweet ride for a 3inch lift go with a revtek 3inch level kit which is 300 for tires you can run a 32 bfgat if you want a higher suspension kit than look at the ones from rough country

 

be careful blacking out lights, its illegal but there are different methods for tinting them. the truck is nice do you plan on getting aftermarket wheels or blacking out the factory ones? the best way to do the factory wheels is to remove the tires and have the wheels powdercoated. as for the emblems they are probably glued on so be careful removing them, scuff 'em up, paint 'em up, and put them back on.

If you are planning to drive your 4runner off road the first modification I would make would be by a 85-95 Toyota with a 22re for cheap. This way when you drag it down bushes, smash it on rocks, and roll it over you won’t care.
Driving a nice truck off road sucks because you are always worried about scratching it.

If you are going for looks only then I would go with a OME lift

Clear corner lenses would look great against the black paint.

For lifts read up on the Sonoran Steel website. A body lift may accomplish what you need without the stiffness of using Old Man Emu springs.
