well darn, that's what i get for listening to others before asking on a forum 
I hate returning stuff online, usually get stiffed with a "restocking fee" and months of waiting on a refund. Not like just taking something back to a store. So are the warn hubs inferior? more likely to fail than just keeping the original 25 year old hubs? I'm thinking of maybe just installing the warns and keeping the others and rebuilding them? Keep them on the shelf as spares?
I didn't get into town this weekend so couldn't pick up a camera for pics. but will try to get some up soon.

There is a great write up on 5x7 LEDs in the general lighting section.
Aisins are bulletproof. Think about it, they are 20 years old and probably still perfect just in need of a cleaning and regrease.

found some used 32x11.5x15 BFG ATs in ok shape so took it to town and got them swapped. found out a few things today (first time i've driven it). lots of things dont work. driver's side window seems busted cause it doesn't roll up or down without help. almost feels like the gears aren't working. rear window is having issues as well but it looks like that's related to the slightly bent in tailgate. but the bigger problem there is the center console is all busted up and i don't think the switches are working. i had to unplug them and jump the up/down switch to get it to roll down so i could throw the tires in the back.

now that it's kinda driveable the next things on the list are
1. fixing the windshield
2. purchasing used smittybilt rear bumper ($40)
3. removing the body lift
4. figuring out what's up with the 4WD (i have a sneaking suspicion it's the front diff making the noise)
So I've never messed with body lifts before, is it as easy as removing the bolts, sliding the spacer out and replacing the bolts? can i do one at a time (without tightening the bolts of course) without jacking up the body or do i need to support the body somehow and do them all at once?
