New Guy looking for BIG HELP ( 3.0 )

Ive owned all sorts of toyotas and bogged many of them over the years from a 96 tacoma 3.4 super charged to a 81 fj40...but my problem is with my Daily Driver my 94 Toyo pickup it has a 3.0 and is making all sorts of clattering noises and dont know if its the valves or what never took apart a 3.0 before...anyhow i have the oppertunity to buy another engine tommarow for $150...what is the fastest and easiest way to take a 3.0 out and put a new one in...and another question the guy said the new one has a slight tick when it first starts up and than goes away once its warm...is that lifters or what...i really dont know much about the 3.0 other than its a pain in the butt and hated upon many...and if any of you are in the orlando area and want to please help please call 321 480 0745 and ask for Bubba
and for those that come out and help remove the old engine and put the new one in ill have a big BBQ next month once everything is right...thanks
keep in mind this is my Daily driver and i'm the only one in this house who has a drivers liscence cause my mother is blind and GF doesn't drive....thanks once again 321 480 0745...really need some serious help...

Welcome to Yotatech. Engine swaps are pretty involved. Make sure to list your general location in your profile. I wish you the best of luck in getting help.
