New camshaft and rocker arms

I'm rebuilding my first engine (22r) and I discovered the rocker arm shafts are gouged to high hell. The motor (1982) had 289,xxx on it when I rescued it from the junk yard. That being said, I want to upgrade the camshaft for a bit more low end performance. I already ordered the cam from LCE, and I'm not sure where exactly I need to go from here. I'm going to replace the rocker arm shafts, and I thought I might as well change the rockers. Hell, everything on the bottom end is new ( minus the crank and oil pickup), why not do the same with the top end. The dude at LCE said I needed to run OEM rockers only with the cam I ordered (pro torquer), So are OEM cast iron, steel, aluminum? So I look up some replacement rockers and there are aluminum ones saying they meet or exceed OEM standards. I don't want to throw $ in the trash because I get the wrong part. What to do? I'm not about to drop $390 on rockers. Please help me stay in budget.

Show LCE what you are looking at. It will be riding on their cam.
