hey everyone I just bought this 1982 deluxe model pickup, she has 180,000 on her and is in great condition over all exept for a few minor things like a new floor pan and a horn .........I payed $5000 for it could someone plz tell me if this is a good price or not

the paint sure looks nice.

but $5k for a stock truck that needs floor pans sort of sends up a red flag.

 

1st Gen (79-83) tend to have rusted floor pans, they like to rust out in the two front cab corners and the two rear cab corners. Very common issue

$5k for an early truck in good shape is actually not too bad considers some of the POS's I have seen on craigslist the last couple of years with sky high asking prices. They are getting hard to find in stock condition, most have been beat to crap.
The old school (80's) axle trusses are a nice touch

 

looks like Smitty bilt bumpers too? I just scored a rear one (almost rust-free) from CL..I guess they're hard to come by these days cause he don't make em anymore?

 

Yeah they look cool but they're crap. I mean they're fine, more or less, as a bumper that looks "cooler" than stock. As far as offroading tube bumpers and armor goes, they're pretty weak.
