I know i saw a thread that told how to identifty the different year 20R,22r, and 22RE engines but i can not find it. (yes i searched) I have a local junk yard that may have the engine i need, but the old man says it came out of a 79-80 2wd pickup....I was under the impression that they did not have powersteering in those years. This engine had the two threaded holes on the top left front of the head to mount the powersteering pump ......The sticker is wore down on the front of the engine so that is making it difficult for me to identify what it is. It has square intake ports on the throat of the carb. I need a new engine for my '83 and am wanting to buy this one if it will work. I got the casting number off of the block 11411-38011, but can not find anything about it on the web.
