Need help getting truck to start

I have got a 89runner I just changed cap rotor plugs hell everything to get it to start cause it had no spark. Now I get spark but still wont start. It wants to turn over but keeps backfiring. If any one cause help me with this it would be great cause I have been down for three months now. Ok guys if you would happen to know the fire order for this truck an the placement of the wires on the cap that would help me alil also. Thanks for the imput tho I'm sure its going to help me out.

Sounds like timing to me. Any chance you crossed a couple of plug wires?

Things I can think of that might cause this:

1: Position of distributer in head
2: Timing
3: Plugs
4: Wires
5: Getting fuel?

fuel, air, spark. check the basics, and I bet 10 to 1 you find your culprit.
